Cassiar Cannery hosts the UNBC Systemic Biology Field Camp – August 2015

This is the third time the University of Northern British Columbia has brought their students to have a hands-on learning experience at the Cassiar Cannery. We are located in a rare and unique estuarine ecosystem. Fresh water from the Skeena River meets the Pacific Ocean and has created a prolific, diverse and unusual flora and fauna. The Cassiar Cannery is surrounded by a rich and productive salt marsh and these students come bi-annually to learn in the field and gain valuable experience for the future. One of our favourite groups! Enjoy!
