Donations

Cassiar Sustainable Economic Development Association (CSEDA) is a registered non-profit organization, located on the North Coast of British Columbia, Canada, created with the following purposes:

1. To rejuvenate the historic Cassiar Cannery (est. 1889) site to become a model of sustainable development in the conservation economy.
2. To restore the infrastructure so it can be used to develop value added resource industries for North Coast businesses.
3. To provide training, through its industries, for local residents to develop skills that they can later use to build sustainable communities.

Restoring a heritage site is always a challenge and produces a remarkable range of needs. Donations of any type are appreciated: building supplies, gravel, electrical equipment, knowledge and expertise, big timber construction materials, piles – used or otherwise, fire prevention equipment and all financial donations will be gratefully accepted. From finishing nails to heavy machinery, Cassiar will thank you very much.

PS. A tug boat to salvage logs for Cassiar’s restoration tops my wish list. Anyone looking for a kind home for their faithful tug will find it here!
